Introducing the Missions Mentor

Jim Poitras is the host of the Missions Mentor. He and his family spent twenty-nine years as global missionaries in West Africa. He is intentional about teaching, mentoring, and encouraging the next generation of missionaries, Global Christians, and goers.

Here’s the plan:

The Missions Mentor podcast will be released every two weeks.

Each episode will pose a missions-oriented question and then provide an answer in fifteen minutes or less.

Occasionally he will also release a Missions Minute which will be much shorter.

Some of the episodes will be produced as a video as well and uploaded to the GM STM YouTube channel.

Some episodes will be solo, others will feature guests, and there will be interview content as well.

Perhaps, at times Jim will also review a missions book and what he gleaned for his readings.

About the Podcast

Missions Mentor
Mentoring members, ministers, and short-term missions in service to global missions.
My wife and I spent twenty-eight years as global missionaries in Africa before coming to our world headquarters in 2011. As the Director of Education/Short-term Missions, I interact with, invest in, inform, and hopefully, inspire, the next generation of Global Christians and Global Missionaries in the apostolic movement.

They say variety is the spice of life. This podcast will utilize a variety of methods all bent on taking the whole Gospel to the whole world by the whole church. We will use interviews, introductions, informational thoughts on various aspects of missions, along with a little inspiration as we journey together to reach the unreached.

The entire family, Jim, Linda, Melinda, Candra, and son-in-love, Zach love communicating the truths of God's Word and helping others in their journey through life. Speaking, preaching, teaching, writing, mentoring, counseling, living, loving, serving, and hugging are all things they love to do. Now, not totally each of them, but all of them working together is a sight to behold and experience. You'll enjoy our family dynamics as much as well do. Join us as we pause and ponder!
